Shibumi is the finest example of the classic Defever flush deck with cockpit. She has had all major systems refit and upgraded including electrical, plumbing, blackwater, windows and custom additions. Bow and stern thrusters were added, pilothouse windows were upgraded to 1/2” tempered forward and 3/8” tempered on the sides, The hull was painted in 2016 with Pettit Epoxy Paint, granite counter tops were added and lights were replaced with LED and custom built for use in the existing fixtures. Mechanical systems have been meticulously maintained for charter use. Annual days chartered range from 50 to 65 days. A detailed Owners Manual for Shibumi provides a concise manual of all systems. Shibumi is stabilized for comfort; she has a Portuguese bridge and covered walkways for safety. This has been a project of love with more than a million dollars invested. Why sell? The owners found a boat in Australia and will be sailing her home for the next few years.

LAYOUT

Enter from the swimstep into the cockpit with sink, storage and granite counter walk up three steps to the enclosed California Deck. Moving forward into the large salon pass between the galley and dayhead then continue forward into the pilothouse. From the pilothouse take the steps down to the forward VIP stateroom and Bunkroom. The VIP is a full beam stateroom that acts as a second Master stateroom. Each of the forward two staterooms has a private head with shower. Also accessed from the pilothouse walk up the stairs to the flybridge and boat deck. The crow’s nest is located above the storage stack on the electronics mast.
